The Montessori School Foundation facilitates learning environments for curious souls between the ages of 0 and 99 (and beyond!). We believe that education can change the world for the better. Through The Montessori School we provide timeless education from birth through adolescence based on the Montessori philosophy, while The Knowledge Lab is a diverse community where people come together to enrich their minds and lives through peaceful interaction, informal exchange of information and thoughtful discussions. When you join our community, you’ll need to agree to a few important terms and conditions. Please make sure you read these carefully.

These terms and conditions (“Terms & Conditions”) apply to all courses, workshops, tours and other products and services sold by The Montessori School Foundation, irrespective of the brand and it may include The Montessori School Foundation, The Montessori School, The Knowledge Lab or other brand (“Course”, “Workshop”, “Tour”, “Product” or “Service” and together “Services”).
By purchasing Services you are entering into a contract with The Montessori School Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “TMSF”, “We” or “US”), a foundation under the laws of Curaçao, registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Curaçao under number 147414 with registered offices at Cas Coraweg 48E, under the terms outlined in the Terms & Conditions. You are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.
The Montessori School Foundation offers free guided tours of its facilities (“Tours”). We believe there is no substitute for visiting our facilities in order to appreciate the quality of the environment and the facilities. A visit also provides the opportunity to ask questions. Appointments can be made through our online registration portal or by e-mailing us at email@example.com.
By reserving a spot on these Tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Cancellations can be made through our online registration portal or by requesting a cancellation through firstname.lastname@example.org at no cost.
Courses and Workshops
Courses and Workshops will be delivered in person at the specified location or online via video-conferencing software or recorded video footage on the date indicated on your registration.
To register for a Course or Workshop, please use the online registration portal or contact us at email@example.com.
Once your registration has been received and processed, you will receive an e-mail from us confirming your registration as well as an invoice to pay for the Course or Workshop. Your registration will then be considered a confirmed registration, however your space(s) will be provisional until payment has been received.
Your purchase of a Course or Workshop entitles one (1) individual to participate. It is possible to substitute an alternative participant on any place booked at no additional cost.
Methods of payment
Payment of the Course or Workshop fees must be made in advance and should be made at the time of registration (if the platform so allows) or immediately after receiving an invoice. You or anyone else who registered on your behalf will be jointly and severally liable for payment of the fee.
Payments can be made by credit/debit card or wire transfer to The Montessori School Foundation. Please refer to your invoice for bank account information or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a credit card authorization form.
All invoices are due for immediate payment and must reach us 48 hours prior to the Course or Workshop date. You will forfeit your space(s) on the Course or Workshop in case of late payments. If payment cannot be made within the timescale, you must contact us in writing through email@example.com to let us know and we will suggest alternative payment methods.
All payments quoted are inclusive of sales taxes (omzetbelasting), unless otherwise stated, which is applicable at the standard rate.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations can be made through our online registration portal or by requesting a cancellation through firstname.lastname@example.org. If the Course or Workshop is due to take place more than 10 business days from your cancellation date, we’ll provide you a refund minus cancellation fees of ANG. 10,- for a wire transfer to your local bank account or $15,- for a refund to your credit card. If not, you can choose to let someone else participate or you can pick an alternative Course or Workshop (if available) at no additional cost. No shows without notice on the date of the Course or Workshop will not be eligible for an alternative Course or Workshop nor refunds.
Content & Schedule
The Montessori School Foundation reserves the right to alter the advertised schedule, alter or amend the content or change the venue, however we will never cancel a Course or Workshop, unless due to circumstances beyond our control or it is deemed unsafe to provide the Course or Workshop (such as a severe weather warning). We will not be liable for any losses or expenses, including consequential, arising from any such alterations or amendments to the content or schedule.
Copyright & Privacy
Copyright and all intellectual property rights in Courses or Workshops and materials remain the property of The Montessori School Foundation or the party owning any of such copyright or intellectual property right. You (as a participant) are expressly forbidden from recording and sharing Course or Workshop materials with non-participants.
By participating in a Course or Workshop, you consent to The Montessori School Foundation using video recordings, screenshots and other means of capturing the Course or Workshop and its participants, along with any quotes made by you, for marketing purposes.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall The Montessori School Foundation be liable for any lost data or content, lost profits or revenue, business interruptions or damage to goodwill (in each case whether direct or indirect) or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive losses. In any event, the maximum liability to you for any claim arising from a Course or Workshop is limited to the applicable fee paid in respect of the Course or Workshop.
Our Courses and Workshops and their supporting materials are prepared solely for training and educational purposes and are not a substitute for legal, medical or professional advice. Neither The Montessori School Foundation nor the Course or Workshop facilitators will accept responsibility for losses arising from reliance.
Acceptable use of facilities
By purchasing a Service, you agree to abide by The Montessori School Foundation’s policy relating to the use of its facilities:
• No facilities may be used to locate, display or transmit any material which is illegal or offensive.
• No software may be downloaded or installed on any computing equipment unless under explicit direction of The Montessori School Foundation.
• No data may be imported which has not been checked for viruses and which is not under explicit direction of The Montessori School Foundation.
• No food or drink may be brought into the facilities, except for water in a container that can be sealed air-tight or that is otherwise spill-proof.
• Smoking is not allowed.
The Montessori School Foundation reserves the right to refuse access to its facilities and premises where there is a reason to believe that a person is in breach of these conditions or where a person uses threatening, bullying, harassing or disruptive behavior. The Montessori School Foundation will not be liable for any losses or expense (including Course or Workshop fees and consequential damages) arising from such an exclusion of that person.
If for any reason any term of the Terms & Conditions becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms remain valid and enforceable.
The Terms & Conditions are exclusively governed by and construed under the laws of Curaçao. In the event of any dispute, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Curaçao.
